The Jester took a few steps away from the couch, turned and took a deep bow. "Dark Eve, M'lady." He extended an arm in a gesture of respect and removed the hat from atop his orange locks. "I hope you enjoy tonights performance." He lifted himself upright once more and held out one of his gloved hands. He showed her his palm first, then flipped the hand over, showing her the back. He repeated this action with his other hand, showing her that there was nothing in his hand. He lifted one of his gloved hands and plucked a golden coin from the air. Holding it betwix his thumb and index finger, he spun the coin with a gloved digit from his opposite hand. He slowly wrapped his gloved fingers about the coin, opening them with his palm to her to show her the coin was gone. Extending his other hand, he opened the fingers to show her the golden coin resting in his palm. He turned the gloved hand over, letting her see the coin was now on the back of his hand. Lifting it upward, showing her the palm once more, he turned his hand over, and the coin was gone again. He plucked it from the air again, this time with the other hand. He began to roll it over his knuckles, over and under each digit. Turning the hand over, he rolled the coin into his palm and wrapped his fingers about it again. This time, he lifted the gloved hand to the masque he wore over his face. Placing the palm where lips would have been, he frayed his fingers, as a fine golden dust was expelled into the air. The tiny specks fluttered to the ground, clinging and clanking as if each one were a coin itself. He lifted his hand once more, plucking another coin into his fingers. Rolling the coin onto the back of his hand, he would twitch it, manipulating the coin to stand upon it's side. He lofted the arm into the air, causing the coin to roll down his arm and across his shoulders. As he did this, he lowered that arm, lifting the other in the same fashion as the coin rolled up that one. He let the coin roll into his palm, curling his gloved digits about it once more. He moved the hand to rest before him as he flicked it with his thumb into the air. As it flipped end over end, the coin grew larger and larger, untill it was about the size of a large pizza, then began to shrink again as it cascaded toward the floor. It reached it's normal size just as it was about the strike the ground. As it hit, it splashed, and caused the ground between the two beings to ripple as if a child had tossed a pebble into a pond. Once the ripples subsided, the Jester stepped forward to the girl, sliding gloved digits across her cheek then behind her ear. He pulled his fingers back, showing her the golden coin. He once agian flipped the coin into the air, only this time, with his free hand, he removed the hat he wore atop his head and moved it under the coin, letting it fall into the hat. He plucked another golden coin from behind her ear, flicking it into the air and down intot he hat. After this coin had landed, he moved the hat to rest beside the girl, placing gloved digits on the opposite side of her head. Gently forcing her to lean over the hat, he tapped her ear softly, causing a coin to fall from her ear and into the hat. He tapped her ear again, and a second coin fell from her ear into the hat. With a third tap, coin after coin fell from the girls ear and into the hat. Hundreds upon thousands of coins cascaded from her ear, each clinking and clanking as it landed in the Jester's hat. he waited as the coins began to thin out, and as the last one fell, he lifted the hat to catch it. He took a few steps back, then flipped the hat up over his hand, rolling it along his arm and placing t back atop his head. He took a small bow, extending his arm once again in a gesture of respect to the being before him. He reached into his pocket, pulling a deck of card from it. He took a single card fromt he deck and tossed it into the air. The card spun 'round and 'round, suspended within the air. Taking a second card, he would flick this one into the air next to the first. The two cards spun as he twisted card after card into the air to join them. In total he now had about ten card spinning in the air. He took a few steps backward, and drew a card from the deck. Flicking is wrist, he would send the card flying toward one of the spinning ones. As the cards collided, they exploded into a shower of confettie, raining to the floor before fading away. He held the deck upward in his palm, rolling his wrist to send card after card toward the ones that spun in the air. As each hit, they exploded into a different color of cofettie, drifted to the floor and dissappeard. With the remaining cards, he simply tossed them, one by one, at the floor, watching them bounce as if striking rubber, into the air and explode into bright sparks and multi-colored lights. As the last card exploded, the Jester took another small bow. He forced his gloved hand into his other pocket, pulling out another deck of cards. This deck though, was different from the first. Insted of the regular suits, each card was printed with a different picture. Each picture depicted a harlequin. He shuffled the deck about, flicking one of the cards into the air. Within the blink of an eye, he had two more cards flicked into the air with the first, and watched them tumble toward the floor. As they struck, they exploded into a small cloud of purple smoke. As the smoke cleared, three marionettes stood, each of the being printed on the card. The first, that of the Diabolique Harlequin. The second, of himself, the Illusionary Harlequin, and the third, into that of the Artistique Harlequin. He held his free hand out above the small marionettes and wiggled his gloved digits about, watcing as the dolls sprang to life and danced about, as though they were tied to strings that attatched to his fingers. The three marionettes danced in unison, spinning, twirling, twisting and turning. He moved his hand away from them, letting them continue their momements. Taking the rest of the deck in his hand, he began to fold his index finger toward his thumb, letting the remaining cards spray upward into the air, and fall towaward the earth. As each card drew near, the small dolls grabbed them and began to stack them. the fountain of cards seemed to be endless, as did the devotion of the dolls. Once the last card fell into the tiny hands of the dolls and was placed, a rather large throne could be seen, though it seemed to have three card shapped holes upon it. The dolls, seeing their job was done, began to dance about before attempting to skitter away from their master. curling his digits into a fist, he jerked his hand toward him, causing the dolls to stop dead in their tracks and fly backward toward the throne. Each hit one of the holes, exploding into a cloud of purple smoke and forming the card that they once were. The Jester leaned back into the throne, folding one of his slender legs over the other. He nodded his head in a bow, before taking the hat from atop his head again. He tossed it to the feet of the girl, while at the same time forcing his hand into one of his pockets. He pushed his hand deep into the pocket, deeper and deeper, allowing it to swallow his wrist, forearm, and elbow, and up to his shoulder. As his arm dissappeard, the hat began to shake a little, and soon a prefectly formed glass Lily began to rise from within the hat. Holding the Lily, was the arm of the Jester, who placed the delicate glass flower into the lap of the girl. He began to pull his arm out of his pocket, in turn, pulling the arm down into the hat again. As he drew close to it, he let his gloved digits grip the brim of the hat and pull it into itself untill it too, dissappeared. As he pulled the rest of his hand from his pocket, he brought the hat with him, shaking it back to it's original shape. He held it out over the arm of the throne, scooping it underneath him with a swift motion. As the hat touched the cards, each one seemed to be sucked into the confines of the hat. The Jester forced himself forward, upon his feet as the last of the cards were sucked into the hat. Extending his free arm once more in a bow, he would straighten up and bring the hat to his chest. He bowed his head once more, sliding his free hand into his pocket. As he did this, he thurst his other arm outward, letting the hat fly from his hand. Just as the hat left his gloved fingers, his other hand popped out from the bottom and grabbed ahold of the other. He quickly pulled himself into the hat as he withdrew his hand from his pocket. As the form of the Jester dissappeard into the hat, his gloved digits once again gripped the brim, pulling it inward unto itself. The hat soon grew smaller and smaller untill it finally dissapeard with a slight sparkle.
