She sat there, frozen it would seem, for wisp of cold air would be seen escaping from dainty nostrils. A hand remained on the table top, having lost all the warmth lent by the steaming tankard of Tea; the other finding perch on her naked thigh, curling and uncurling nervously. She swallowed carefully, as if a lump was lodge in her throat. Could she be dreaming or did she just became aware of the mana signature of a fellow Forenyan? But the emanation was too strong to be a mere elemental such as she? Perfectly formed eyebrows crease in wonder. There were no other Water elementals in the realm. At least not that she knew of. Shaking her head slowly, eyes remained upon the tall male. Icy blue eyes glistening as they capture the blistering auras he emitted. She did not dare to believe that she had run into the very person she had dreamt to pursue.
Instinct alone would have eventually lead him to the one that was and could only dream of the pursuit. The legend of their kind, was standing no more than a mere breath away from her and her own little world, now shattered, it would seem, by his presence. Her every gesture and expression was caught and recorded by the hard piercing stare that radiated from the depths of his own eyes. The shadow suffucation entwined with the ice in his soul made for the look as if he coul dhave shot daggers made from crystalized water or even his own tears, if he should shed them still. The inconvienance of faint but almost visible black veins ran cricles around the pupil of his left eye, the tell of the poison coursing through his very blood, which was choking the life from all that he had once believed in and left to rot in forsaken despair. " Winter sends children now does she? Or did you come here of your own free will?" His voice shook with his never ending arrogance as he spoke with the tatic of intimidating the child.
Little girl? Little girl?! She almost spluttered the hot tea all over him. Just because she’s short of a century or so from his own life span doesn’t make a child!. The nerve! She heard too many rumors, no, stories about this arrogant race of Fire. But the sheer arrogance of this man! Not that many of the Naurian were known to her but this notorious reputation of the feared race precede this one. Eyes would remain upon his sculptured features; boring coldly into the blazing depth of liquid fire. If he were one of Earth or Wind, she would surely prove to him that she is not a child. A wisp of cold air escapes from dainty nostrils as she shifted in her seat; chin rising nonchalantly, bracing herself for what ever possibilities. The auras surrounding him was potent and worst, they were congruent. Evident only in the chosen ones. Now this will not help her situation at all. Not if he’s a prominent elemental. Even worst, if he’s the Naur Arator himself! Somehow it infuriates her more, forgetting her earlier ‘fears’ of facing the owner of the fiery mana pattern. Chin would rose indignantly before replying. “Yes, you can get the Abyss away from me.” She groans inwardly as the words left her blue lips. Too late, her mind would wail. Ah, the fool of an apprentice. Eyelids flutters shut for a few stolen moments before revealing icy blue pupils within. “I mean, no thank you. I am fine. I have my tea..” Tearing her gaze away from him, she reaches for the warm beverage, gripping the tankard harder than required, cursing herself; unintentionally emitting uncontrolled auras, freezing the tea within seconds.
Yes there was a streak of arrogance about a mile long and about three miles thick. His eyes never questioned the fact that she was just a little intimidated and taken back by the extreme scrutiny of his gaze. Yet she spoke of Winter not sending a child, but rather was here in the means of exploration. Somehow he found that just a little hard to chole and swallow down. Was it a mere coincidence that they would end up in the same location? He did not believe in such. No he knew of Winter's last act and how far she had gone in order to find out where it had been that he was hiding, and now this child was partly lying through her teeth. He could feel it in his gut, his instincts singing a choired hymn. " If you are here as you say, then why do you fidget so?"
A groan bubbled in her slender throat as she peers into the icy cold tankard of tea. Smacking her lips, she shook her head ruefully, setting the frozen beverage upon the makeshift table. Was it that obvious? Her fears. Well that is to be expected from a Mage apprentice who took it upon herself to travel to the other realms through a newly discovered portal without consent from her mentors or the elders. If they were to aware of her disregard of protocols, she will be banned from using her elemental powers for at least ten years. Ten years! She’ll be 200 yrs by then. How will she undergo the final regimens of her trainings without her powers? Eyelids would flutter shut for a moment before icy orbs were revealed. “I am not fidgeting. I am merely.. uh.. surprised to see you. Especially you, Lord Ahrimal. It’s not a usual happening to find a Forenyan, let alone the Arator himself, dwelling in this..” She turn around, hand waving impatiently at her surroundings before continuing. “.. this unknown realm.”
And she was nothing more than an apprentice? He could see a great potential within her if she would just abandon this foolish quest and return to their own Realm. This one, unlike their own, was filled with extreme violence and of dark evils. Fascinating as it might seem to either of them, it was much more alien and unforgiving. He adverted his eyes and his own thoughts and his cold gaze passed over the tankard of tea in which she was clutching, the crystalized liquid inside, frozen by the mere radiation of the power she carried within. A slight smirk crossed his pale lips. " Go home, child...this is no place for you to be," he said and turned away from the table. Moving away he retrieved his pack from by the door and made the gesture and motion, which took him to the counter. Which upon he rapped with a gloved hand, drawing the attention of the somewhat aged and weathered man whom sat behind. " A room for the coming evening."
